Do this to more of them, and build West World. Or would that be Nazi Westworld?

I can't remember where I read this, but there was an article about painting that suggested that paint should never be drawn straight out of the bottle. It should be transfered to a ceramic palette, and applied to the brush there.

I thought it was to get better control over the paint, but I guess it's to keep from spilling the whole bottle.

Sorry to hear about your mini-disaster. If it makes you feel any better, most people have done the same thing at one point or another, including myself.

Well think of all the practice your getting. Tough break.
I know its too late, but I place my paint jars in one of those plastic drawers from a knick knak cabinet like you see in the hardware stores. You know the ones that have 30 of those little clear plastic drawers... It provides stability and if you accidently bump the jar and do knock it over, its contained.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune Chris. Laugh about it and start again.

I had a little airbrush accident the other day. Apparently stupid me didn't get the cap on tight to the bottle and the next minute I noticed my hand was green from all the paint, and worse yet it dripped all over my shorts. It took me 4 washings with additional soaking to get it out. Lesson learned: Screw on the cap until it won't tighten and never wear good clothes when painting.

Those who suggested 'terminator' were reading my mind.

I've had this happen too many times. I am now very 'meticulous' when it comes to open jars. I used to just leave them around and inevitably they'd get knocked over (paint is frustrating, but liquid glue all over plastic parts makes a real mess!!) I still find myself 'slipping' every now and then, but I seem to be getting better.

well, I wiped lots of it from the parts and put a new base coat on them late last night. but a metallic glint still shows through......... hopefully it goes away with shading.

Hey what if you were building the morphing guy from the Terminator movie and you accidentally spilled a jar of flesh color on him? LOL!
