I think there were two FSM articles on photoetching that I can remember........
The FSM all time index says they were:
1. Photoetching for Modelers, July 1991 pg52
2. Photoetching brass detail parts at home, Sept. 1993 pg48
Good luck

Cheers, LeeTree

Finescale Modeler did a "how-to" article on photoetching your own parts. I can't remember the issue. Maybe someone else can remember.

I'm not familiar with where you are located Jack, but I have had photoetching done for architecural models. I used a chemical milling company in California that was nearby, and I'm sure you could find a similar business where you are.
They did want a minimum order, so if you have a small project, try it for yourself. I'm certain it has been talked about in these forums before, so do a search if you think you want to try!

Jack,
Theres a company called Mastercut Technologies in Queensland and they do fantastic work. Have a look at their website:
http://www.mastercut.com.au
You can contact them and get quotes online. They'll tell you what kind of artwork you'd need to provide.
Many places need drawing files, like AutoCad dxf files - as their production process will have translators that can turn most types of drawings into the formay their machines need.
Good luck.

Cheers, LeeTree
