GreatModels Webstore Selling Future in Small Bottles

I knew someone was going to get the idea.

GM is selling 3 oz bottles of Future-for-Models Acrylic Wax. Here's there description:

DIFFICULT TO FIND OUTSIDE THE US. Registered Trademark from SC Johnson. Usually dries in 20-30 minutes. For canopy shines, and replaces gloss coat for decals. Ready to airbrush. Do NOT dilute in water. Includes Badger plastic bottle 51-0054. - $3.95

Or in a 3/4 oz bottle (Badger glass bottle 50-0052)- $1.95

Ain't capitalism great!

It's convenient, but d$%^ expensive!

Future comes in 27 oz bottles that normally run between $5.00 and $7.00 (depending where you buy it) and it lasts forever.

27 ounces of the 3 oz bottles would cost over $35.00! 27 ounces of the 3/4 oz. bottles comes to over $69.00!!! This does not of course include the shipping costs.

Capitalism run amok!!!

I believe his target market is overseas. Those places where you
can't buy it. I wish him good luck. I hope he sells thousands of bottles.

I wonder if the Johnson folks know their product is being rebottled and resold. Maybe they wouldn't care. Maybe saying "Registered Trademark from SC Johnson" makes it OK.....

Years ago I used a medical adhesive for prosthetic work in the film industry. Theatrical effects suppliers would sell it for something in the order of $15 for a bottle of a few ounces.
I called Dow Corning who manufactured it and they sent me a gallon free.
There's a lot of profit to be made in putting stuff in smaller bottles...

I have heard that SC Johnson does not like the fact that we use their Product on our models! Disapprove [V] They are afraid someone is going to spray it or use it on their model, ruin the model somehow and then sue them for not putting a warning label on the bottle! Ain't victimization great! Angry [:(!]Angry [:(!]Black Eye [B)]

I had seen this in another discussion board when someone posted, describing the response he got from CS Johnson when he wrote to thank them for such a great product!

I could ask, they're right up the street. Know some of their people but that's not too hard considering that they employ about 5% Racine.

Makes me wonder if they have permission or license to repackage & resell S.C. Johnsons product. Any copyright lawyers out there?
