good to be back

At last, back among friends. I decided to update my archaic dial up to broadband on the 25th May. What a fiasco. My windows 98 did not want to know.I could get so far but I kept getting a message saying the windows access components could not be found. A friend tried and failed.A computer science teacher tried, all to no avail. i took the PC back to shop where it was built and after 3 days they said success but they had had to clear my hard disk!!!!! At home I tried again, again no connection!!
Many frustrated calls to the shop got the young computer savvy guy to promise to come to our house himself last night and not leave till it was up and running.
He arrived at 7 and left at 10,30. After wiping my hard drive twice and re-installing my printer, scanner, camera, etc.
Finally I am back on line and I have lots to read since the 25th May.
I was getting withdrawal symptoms but I did get a lot of modelling work done!!!!!!!!!!!
