how do you classify yourself?

remember this is just for fun, no model police will force you to be one or the other. as for myself i have to admit i am changing into a multi subject builder, and looking forward to increasing my abilities by increasing the variety of subjects.

Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]hee hee hee..............
i started & for a long time was strictly military and what corporate aircraft i could dig up......but, due to a LHS, ScaleFest of Dallas & meeting other plastiholics i've been influenced to look at other subject matter, which has improved my skills and broadened my horizons........i've a German half-track in planning........a figure or two completed.......a few airliners in display cases (in storage) and what seems to be a lifelong helicopter in work.........
God i love this hobby...........Bow [bow] now i just have to frequent a contest (show) or two for some more 3 dimensional inspiration..........Blush [:I]
neat poll Sean..........

I consider myself a automodeler, but I dip into the aircraft/helicopter area on occasion, and TOS Star Trek as well.

I am definatly a multi-subject builder. I started as a kid with aircraft (both Grandfathers were Air Force), then started building real space in teenage years (wanted to be an astronaut), started building helicopters when I joined the Army, then started ships after that. I have been dipping into the Darkside myself with 5 AFV's under my belt now. I mainly do ships but am I still move back and forth when I need a change.

Hi Joe,

I am mostly an aircraft modeler in the past but in the last few months I have been spending all my time on a diorama and will continue to do so for the next few monthsApprove [^] After that probably back to aircraft as I have more than seventy unbuilt aircraft modelsDead [xx(] I do want to try some armor but I find it difficult spending hours and hours on a model and then cover it with mudTongue [:P] Thanks for the pollBig Smile [:D]

Since getting back into the hobby I have done mostly armor. But right now I also have a scratchbuilt firetrucks going, a plane soon to be going and a couple of armor going to. I am really just a confused modeler.

Classification: Armor Modeler

When I was younger - much, much younger - I built a lttle of everything. Ships, aircraft, and cars all adorned my bedroom dresser. Since getting back into modeling, I have only built armor (tanks, armored cars, guns) kits. However, I do have a few (about 10) non-armor kits laying around, but they haven't been built yet.

Although I'm doing mostly armor these days, I consider myself to be a "multi-subject modeller." Armor, aircraft (including helicopters and airships), automobiles, ships, science fiction, real space, resin and vinyl monster garage kits...I love 'em all!

Mostly Aircraft these days, with a figure painted once in a while. Have built some Armor in the past, but it's been about 8 years since my last build. Picked up an Academy 1/35 Stuart kit recently & plan on building this Fall, Just to see what the newer Armor kits are like. But definitely AC is my first love.

Multi-subject. Primarily Ships, but lately I've built as many Sci-Fi and Aircraft as Ships.

I build aircraft and targets tanks and other military vehicles. I even have a few floating targets ships which I'd like to build. My general interests revolve around all of these things; but I am first and foremost an aircraft modeler.

Although I could see myself turning to the darkside more and more. I think that may ultimately be my modeling niche because I'm a bit better armor builder than I am an aircraft builder.

Besides, you don't have to mask canopies on a tank. You armor guys got it EZ...

My first love is figures. (My wife's figure) Ha, I kill me.......

But seriously, I enjoy figure work first and armor second. I'll do a plane ocassionaly just to learn something new or make me appreciate armor more. I have to force it too much for airplanes to take over my build preference.

If it's military related I like it. Especially WWII. Ships, tanks, planes, figures, doesn't matter. I do on occasion build a model car and have looked at some Gundam models.

Armour Modeler.

Nothin but planes till I was 19. Stopped everything for awhile and picked up the tin cans on tracks ever since. I've thought of doing a Higgins boat and maybe some destroyers for variety.

Definately Multi-subject!!
There are just too many cool subjects out there to restrict myself to one particular genre. Sci-Fi, auto, aircraft, armour - I build whatever grabs me or whatever someone else is willing to pay me to build.

Cheers, LeeTree

I started with A/C now I am into Armor. But I am planning to expand to other options. I have started a ship, too. Just started, though. He-he-he.

Ships, aircraft, and the occasional sci-fi subject. But right now I'm building the Polar Lights Batmobile just for burnout prevention.

Started in autos. But there was always a few aircraft in the mix too. Then, after I joined my local club, my armour interest grew. So now, I really do enjoy all three.

At this point, I have some interest in Ships too. I'd like to build one of the Tamiya battleships. The areas I'm really NOT interested in (yet) are figures and dioramas. I really admire the work that other people do with these types of models, but personally, I don't have a burning desire to build one.
