What are your personal Best 3 online stores?

For models and supplies. Sad to say, but I am a doomed Online Modeller.. the nearest hobby store to me is about 30 miles away and only carries trains.

So what are your 3 best? Availability, Customer Service, Price, Speed are the main categories. I have only ordered from a few, so I will list them. In other words, who always have the models you want at a good price and ship them immediately?

1. Squadron - Largest selection and good prices, but no positive feedback from them in the form of emails.. confirmations..shipping numbers.. anything. I ordered some stuff, they didn't have it.. so they just shipped the rest of the order without the models, and me having no idea, lol.

2. Testors - Good Prices, large selection.. I have ordered 2 packages, one got shipped right away. The other one is still sitting in the "Open" category, no idea why it hasn't shipped yet.

3. Galactic Voyager - Great Way to buy MM Acrylics, by color and FS. Super slick shopping cart. I had a problem with ordering a paint from them, they responded immediately with an apology and a 10% price cut. VERY nice and I will purchase from them again when I complete the set of Acryls.

Hmmm...

1. Squadron
2. Squadron
3. Squadron

Sorry! I haven't ordered from any other online shops. And I'm biased as well, I've been dealing with the Squadron folks for around twenty years. They really are a good dealer, all way 'round.

Hobby Link Japan -- http://www.hlj.com/

Squadron -- http://squadron.com/ ( I would put it first... but I build mostly Autos and Squadron has very few of them)

Then... hmmm... hard to say. MicroMark is good, but their prices are a bit high. Dixie Arts is good for air-brushes etc...

So I'll stick with my first 2. I get 90% of my models from one of them.

That is the only two I use. I usually go through Dicount Hobby first.

I've used squadron before also, but have experienced the same troubles when dealing through email. My experience is that if you email them your order, and then telephone them, you will be very satisfied. The people I talked to over the phone were very helpful and informative.

I know what you mean about Squadron too... I love the company, but I WISH they would e-mail about what had actually been shipped and when!

But they are great at helping if you call them... and I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

My best shops are:
www.squadron.com
www.missionmodels.com
www.rollmodels.com

and Ebay comes in a close fourth.

Roll Models, Squadron, and Great Models. Ebay also has its hooks in me but the prices are often exagerated. Don't let the excitment of bidding get you in trouble.
