Rob, I have to apologize! I thought you were calling the new Tamiya kit a "re-tool," but I just noticed your post started with "Is it..." rather than "It is..." meaning it was a question, not a statement.
Sorry about that!

Rob, it's a lot more than just a "re-tool." Like the real Chally 2, it uses some stuff from the C1, but for the most part it's a new kit. To simply dismiss it as a "re-tool" does that fine kit a huge disservice.

Is this a re-tool of their original Challenger, similar to the upgrade of their Bradley, or another of those Italeri crossover's, they have been releasing lately.

Tamiya is going to release a Challenger 2 according to there mag soon.This tank model will be in 1/35 scale and will have Telic modifications,skirts,CIP panels,CITV sight,thermal exhaust shield and two crew members.Thought that you would all like to know.Digger
