                        is it just me, or do you guys get a little sad when you have just finished a kit and you're cleaning up the mayhem from the workbench? i was just cleaning my workbench from the litter of a finished build and i find myself a little depressed.

                        then, i look over to the "too build" pile and suddenly, my pace quickens and i can't move fast enough in order to get this crap out of the way so i can start somethin' else!!!LOL. Ok, maybe i'm a little wierd...sorry. later.

                        Salty I don't have this problem, as I don't have a dedicated work bench at the moment, so I have this at the end of every modeling session!

                        I find my attention starts to wain the closer I get to the end of a build and something new has taken my fancy. As a result I've only finished 3 builds in the last 12 months!

                        i suffer the same syndrome Karl, i loose focus toward the end of my builds and end up settling for a mediocre outcome when if i would've just spent a little more time, it could have been really, really cool!! well, maybe soon you'll have a nice workspace friend. happy modelling. later.

                        I think we are what are known as poor finishers, and it applies to practically everything I do!

                        I put new flooring down last year, just haven't got around to adding the edging strips yet. I've got the strips in the garage, just sitting there waiting to go!!!!

                        I'm setting up a craft room/study at the moment, so hopefully not too long now. Just got to figure out a way of keeping the munchkins away from my stuff!!!!

                        Hope the depression doesn't last too long.

                        Same thing here Karl, I am redoing my basement because I'm tired of working in dirt and poor lighting and hope to have it done in three weeks if I ever want to build another model. I started to paint the trim on my house last year and still have not completed it. Still have to finish putting the trim up in my new dining room and still have to paint the touchup spots in the living room where I drilled holes for new cable outlets.

                        I find that my mind is always racing with new ideas and projects, and because of this, it becomes very difficult to keep focused on current projects. I'm like my 8 yr old in a toy store, I never seem to be able to make up my mind on one thing and want to take home the whole store.

                        Yeah I know what you mean. I can only afford to build one kit every 2 weeks. I find myself really stretching it out to make it that long so I go from one build to the next.

                        Like you, I am a perfectionist and I am not as happy with the F-15E as I would have liked to be. But as you say, the camera can hide all the mistakes. Wink [;)]

                        That's my other problem, no where to put them when they're built.

                        Currently the top of my fridge is covered in a cross section of the Luftwaffe!!!

                        I don't think I've ever gotten depression from finishing a model. I generally get very excited clearing the table, getting it spotless and ready for the next build.

                        mike, i have a Classic Airframes kit that i paid $50 BUCKS FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it totally SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the fuselage is warped like a bananna, the resin and PE cockpit included in the box fits about as well as a turd in a punch bowl, and the fit in general really BITES!!!!!! but dog gone it, i'm gonna roll my sleeves up and make something of this model if the rest of the 3 hairs that i have left on my head falls out!!! so help me, she's gonna get painted and posted!!!!!!!!!!!LOL. she's been in the closet too long, its time to come out and cooperate or be donated to the local waste management engineers!!! i guess what i'm trying to say is, i know how you feel brother.Black Eye [B)]Wink [;)] later.
