Ok, what did ya'll get at Hobby Lobby??

For me, I got a Monogram Pro Modeler Ju-88C-6 Night Fighter 1/48 and a Tamiya Bf-109 E4/7 Trop 1/48. I had scoped out the Tamiya F4F Wildcat 1/48, but someone already got it.

My daughter made me get the Academy A4E/H "Israeli" 1/48 and my son got the AMTech Ju-88 H3/H4 1/72. Those will be just throw together, no paint, tear-ups, but oh well, how do u tell a 3 and 4 year olds that like models "no".

Hey just let the little ones go for it. As far as paint and what not, that will come with time. Good for you, encourage them as you go.

It was so funny, I tried to talk my daughter out of the A4 and get something cheaper like a snap together F-14 or something, but she wouldn't have any of it. She wanted that "camoflaged" A4. My son liked the Ju-88 with the Fw-190 riding on top. No getting him to let go of that one either.

All I picked up were some acrylic paints and a new cutting mat. The only model that I could have even considered picking up was the new Academy Phrog, but I'm really not into whirly birds.

Enjoy your modeling...

I didn't make it. Both my granddaughters came by this weekend and I spent it with them (ok, their parents came with them because at 11 months and 6 months they haven't gotten their drivers licenses yet). So even if I didn't make it to Hobby Lobby and buy a kit, it was a great weekend. (besides after getting 6 kits, 4 decal sets and 3 PE sets in the mail last week, my wife has this look in her eyes that tells me I need to cool it for a while)

I didn't get a darned thing. The only kit, other than Academy 1/144 scale planes, were some Tamiya armor kits I already have, a large number of car kits that I can't use. Rats.

Trying to get me turned into a candidate for the Vienna's Boys Choir are we? Besides, after 35 years of marriage, I'm not quite ready to go back to doing my own underwear.

(I may wander by there though)

Ok, Ok Went there today and got an AMTech Ju 88 H3/4 - visited yesterday and bought today. By the way, they had restocked the shelves overnight because there were several kits on the shelf today that weren't there yesterday.
