At this point in my limited experience, I have been most intriqued with the Tools, Tips, etc Forums. My goal is to get more involved with the Figures forum. Certainly is alot to see out there...Huck.

Armor
Odd and Ends

Since I have little or no interest, I avoid Sci-fi, Autos, Space, and Ships.

This site is so damned addictive that I don't dare visit each forum - I'd never get anything done, modeling or otherwise! My "must see" list (in no particular order) is:
ships, sci-fi, aircraft, General Modeling and Odd and Ends.

I occasionally check Tools and Techniques, and once I ventured into the Auto forum.

I usually start at the Aircraft forum, then perhaps Autos, then I usually move on to Tools, Painting, General Modeling Discussions and Odds and Ends (the old Off-Topics forum was perhaps my favorite). Once in a while, I'll hit Helicopters or Dioramas, and rarely Armor or the others.

David,

I generally look at the active topics and browse all the threads I see.

Many times, however, I browse particular topic areas just to see what's there. I spend most of my time looking at the Aircraft topic, and the topics under Tools, Techniques, and Reference Materials. Following that, I'll look at Ships and Figures.

I spend very little time looking at Cars, Helicopters, and Armor.

Regards,

-Drew

Usually I go to a few of the forums. Armor, dios, and Group builds. I use the active topic link for the tools and general disscssuion sections. Ocasionally I visit the aircraft, figs and ships forum but dont post alot.

I pretty much check 'em all out.
Although I post mostly in Armor, Aircraft, and Sci-Fi, you can find my mindless drivel in every forum!

I generally just go to Autos and Group Builds in the Modelling Subjects and perhaps once a month to the Ships. I don't think I have ever opened any of the others. Only once in a blue moon do I check out the Tools, Techniques etc. If I have the time I will go to the General Discussion and Odds and Ends. I have never been to the Forum Annoucements and only very rarely have I gone to the Feedback etc. I just don't have the time as I try to lmit myself to 2-3 times per week for about an hour or so per occassion.

........never occurred to me to use active topics....duhhh........probably will start now.......
for the most part there's none i avoid although there are some i go to less than others.......primarily i'll reply to any subject if i think i have something either valid, humourous or relevant to contribute..........
my modelling focus is aircraft & dioramas but, i'm beginning to dabble in figures & armour and that's due to the influences of the discussions and pictorial renderings in this GREAT forum.......

how can one not stay focused and motivated.......????????

I always start with Aircraft forum followed by General Modeling Discussions. I rarely venture outside of these two. I remember going to Odds & Ends once.

In order, armour, general discussion, odds and ends. The exception is if I have posted a question in another thread. Most of the time that would be painting and airbrushing, but not always.

I usually start with the Aircraft Forum, then work my way through the others that interest me. I use the code to see if there is something new posted. I rarely look at the Armor, Sci-Fi, Ships, or Space Forums as those subjects are not of great interest to me.

David,

I usually start at the top and read the 'Aircraft' forum only out of the Modeling Subjects category and then work my way down through practically all of the Tools, Techniques, and Reference Materials forums from top to bottom.
Of course the Painting and Airbrushing forum is my favorite. Wink [;)]
I usually read the General Modeling forum and the Odds & Ends but rarely visit many of the others unless I am bored and can't find anything on the other forums. Tongue [:P]

In order of interest:
Armor
General modelling and discussion
Odds & ends
Aircraft
Diorama
rest of modelling subjects.

I rarely venture into the other forums, although I am glad that they are there, as at one time or another, I've frequented them all.

my first stop 9 times out of 10 is Aircraft, 2nd stop is Airbrushing, then this one, then Odds & Ends, and if there has been new activity in the Welcome forum, ill hit it up and welcome new members. the others i browse occasionally for photos of builds. however, i hardly ever browse the space and sci-fi forums as i'm just not interested at all in these subjects. later.

Wow! That's a mouthful, David.

As I mentioned in the poll, I generally open the active topics since my last visit. Once they are open, this is the general rundown of how I view them:

Open most topic threads:
Forums Announcements - Announcements from FineScale Modeler
Modeling Subjects - Armor, Diorama.

Open some topic threads (depending on interest or whether I can help with a topic):
Modeling Subjects - Figures and Misc., Sci-Fi, Group Builds
Tools, Techniques, and Reference Materials - All Forums
General Discussion - General Modeling Discussion, Odds & Ends
Feedback, Help and Testing - Community Assistance

Open few if any topics:
Modeling Subjects - Aircraft, Autos, Helicopters, Ships, Space
General Discussion - Welcome - Introduce Yourself
Feedback, Help and Testing - Suggestions and Feedback, Testing Forums

Enjoy your modeling...
