Some days are better than others
Posted by Swanny on Thursday, August 26, 2004 4:43 PM
I have been invited on an all expense paid behind the scenes tour of the 8th Air Force Museum followed by an Oyster fest at Nags Head and shark fishing with a group of retired AF generals. Three fun filled days of airplanes, good food, good fun and old war stories. When I told the wife about the invite she said it sounds more like a guy thing, why don't I go and she'll stay home for this one. What a woman!

It all started with the P-51D build for Lt Col Curtis Smart - he extended the invite through a mutual friend here in Ohio. I was quite surprised and they were very insistent that I come. How can you say no to a group like that? I'm going to be shark fishing with a freaking Brig. General!!!! And if that is not enough, I was solicited by The Discovery Channel today to feature in a one-hour auto restoration special they are filming in Cleveland (My plant does metal reconditioning on cars). I really am having a great day cause I bought my daughter a used car today after searching for several weeks and I got it for $1500.00 less than listed value. I think I need to go buy a lottery ticket.

You deserve it my friend.

And on top of that Swanny while I was at greatmodels.com I was looking through the Hasegawa section at their 48th scale zeros and they used your site for one of the reviews. Man I need to be your friend Wink [;)]. I congrat you on all that you have gotten.
