How do the Squadron Mail Supplements work??
Posted by Jeeves on Thursday, September 9, 2004 5:48 PM
I saw some awesome deals I want to take advantage of in the Sept issue, but when I go online to order, the normal price comes up! I don't want to spend over $70 for some models that on sale are under $40! Please help...

Jeeves, when you go on line at squadron and you see the kit you want in there suppilamental type in the order number of that kit. This should bring up the sale price on that kit.If that don't work I would call them or e-mail them for instructions.Digger

Jeeves,

Could you let us know how it turns out? I was going to order some stuff from them but I never knew the prices changed between the supliment and their on-line offerings. Good catch!!!

I always just call them on th ephone and order that way. The price they quote is always what is shown in the supplement.

I guess it was on their "Policies" page all along... when the item is processed, it is adjusted to the sale price...I hope so because according to the email I just spent over $70 for two models!! Wink [;)] But I can't beat picking up MPM's Pe-2 UT for $14.99 when it's usually $48!! Always wanted that one in my collection. Also picked up Monogram's B-24 for $19.99.

Jeeves is right. Somewhere buried deep in the small print it says the sale price will be given automatically when you go to the order screen. It USUALLY works, but double-check to make sure, because I've had it not work once or twice. The good news is that Squadron's customer service is top-notch, and they'll make the adjustment if you call.
