I once had a dog teach me two valuable lessons about decals. 1) don't set the cigar box on the floor 2) Dogs think anything is food. Yep the little SOB ATE the entire contents of the box. I no longer have that dog. I gave him and his eating habits to a neighbor that thought he was the cutest thing. The last I heard he was using her living room furnishings as a buffet.

Chris,

worth a try, but let me know how those side US emblems go... they were a lil cantankerous with me... that's when the research dept went to work and I bought the superscale set... well worth it. if you build a lot of US planes... has about 30 emblems total... about 6 of each size... the one that came in the SBD-5 kit was 2" bigger than the specs for that model said... (scale inches not actual inches) so it made it difficult to fit to the body..

AM or another Co. just came out with the SBD-1 also I believe, I might build it along with the 3 and 4 just to have the collection!!! (from what I remember there never was a 2, just a prototype... that had problems, more than the 1 had)

OUCH!!!!!!!!! I managed to get water on a set the other day... don't know what I was thinking... they're bubbled a little now but maybe salvagable...

I think they make the AM decals for the SBD's.. check squadron... if the decals are like the ones for the SBD-5 I built the side star is a little big anyway... I got the superscale US Aircraft marking set, WWII and looked up how many inches it would have been in real life and it was smaller than the one in the box... not much but enough to be a cleaner fit... (the decals from superscale have the real life equivalent inches posted next to the decal)
