My son took his first solo
Posted by KINGTHAD on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 12:29 PM
Last night as I sat at my bench my 2yr old son came in and got a hold of my JU88 (I did for the bomber gb) and took it out for a spin.[:0] I wish I could say with fathers pride he would past his first solo flight but I have to hang my head because it came back in five pieces. Dead [xx(]He really had a nice take off but the landing is what got him in trouble.Black Eye [B)] Mybe he should start with something with one engine instead of a twin.

It died a happy death. The only thing missing was the flames and smoke.

That asymmetrical thrust will get you if you aren't careful Tongue [:P] Plus you have to add the fact that it's a tail-dragger. As they say though, any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

You seem to be taking it well, I assume it may not have been one of your better builds? Hang in there.
