Let your fingers do the walking..........check the local phone book for "Plastic Suppliers"(or similar). Most will sell to public and some, like my local one, have a "remnants" section. I get sheet styrene for about a buck a pound. Plus they have acrylic rod, shapes, glues, etc. Its worth a looksee.

I view the entire world through my modeler eye. No matter where I go I'm on the look out for modeling supplies. It drives my wife crazy. Tongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]

I mostly get the brass wire from my local hardware store. I usually get Evergreen Strip Styrene from the LHS, otherwise I am scrounging around the house. You'd be suprised what you can find and mold into what you need. Aluminum foil makes great seat harnesses and such.

For much of my plastic, and metals such as brass, copper, and aluminum sheet and structual shapes, I buy from McMaster Carr. www.mcmaster.com.

They sell in bulk at about 50% less than what you would pay at hobby suppliers.

Local hobby store, of course, for the main things such as plastic card and evergreen stuff, and Milliput. Then scrounging around the house or any shop for things that may help.. (that's when I become a danger!)
