I had no luck with Photobucket. I too had my album erased and had to reload it, and it still wouldn't show up on the forum.

I switched to Picturetrail and it worked beautifully right off the batCool [8D]Wink [;)]

My pics are of a Type IXC U-boat in the Ships forum.

Cheers,

Dave

On another note, I had uploaded 156 pics of my Armor in my Photobucket account. When I went in to lookk at it and upload more pics, the whole album was empty!

Can anyone tell me why? Did I exceed bandwidth or something? I'm sure I was still under the load limit. So far, Photobucket hasn't responded to my inquiry.

Man, I need to find a place and host a website!

Yup, you're right. I had never noticed. Blush [:I] Thanks for the tip.

Bottom box? I'm pretty sure I use the url in the first box, and put it between the img tags. I'll check when I get home tonight.
To cut and paste, you can also right click after highlighting, choose copy, then go the document you're pasting in, put the cursor where you want it, right click again and choose paste.

Chopper,

I believe I typed it in correctly but all I get in the Test Forum is 2 squares with X's in the middle. No pic shows up. I don't even know how to cut and paste so I'm not gonna try and go there.

Thanks,

Dave

Okay. Your [img] thingys (that's technical talk) are correct. But no spaces anywhere.
Give it another try.
Also, there are 3 lines below your picture. Someone said that you can copy and paste the very bottom one and you don't have to worry about the [img] thingys (there's that tech talk again).

Chopperfan,

Should the [img] on the right look like [ /img] without the forward slash? Or should it have the forward slash, and should there be no spaces between the URL address and the [ img] things either?

Thanks,

Dave

when it does work right all you have to do is copy the IMG tag in the bottm box to where you want the pic. already has it layed out how it needs to be for you.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I did a test run in the testing forum, and was able to create 2 little windows with X's in the middle. I right clicked on the X, and hit "show picture", but it said it could not be displayed.
Am I right in assuming that I got it right but photobucked is just down?

Thank you,

Dave

It took me a while to figure out how to post pictures directly into posts, rather than just adding a URL, and I've worked in IT for the last 11 years!!!!

I always cut and paste the from the third box down under the picture, and then change the to lower case, like Randie says, and you end up with a picture in your post! It took me a while to work that one out!

Best of luck.

Karl

You can also use the preview button on your posts to check them out before you post them.

Me again, Dave.
What you want to do is type [ img](insert the URL of the pic you wish to post here)[ /img] in the message part of your post.
Do not use any spaces in the brackets, though. It should look like this [img]. Your picture should show up in your post.
You can go to the test forum at the bottom of the main forum page and give it a try.
I hope this made sense.
You probably won't be able to try it for a day or two. Photobucket has a glitch that they are trying to work out.

How do you use photobucket?
Posted by djrost_2000 on Monday, September 27, 2004 12:54 AM
I successfully loaded a few pics from my computer to photobucket.
Now I'm not sure how I can post a web address so people can see them. Or should I post the URL info or HTML info into my Finescale profile?

I've got basic computer skills and that's about it. Can anyone tell me what to do, or how they use Photobucket?

Thanks,

Dave
