FSM OCTOBER ISSUE IN THE UK???

That was a good one, Karl... Could not find anything interesting in it, nor in the new Military Modelling, nor in Model Aircraft Monthly, nor in Scale Aircraft Modeller... This is getting baaaad! And I'm not going to France for another week, so I do not have the latest French mags either...

the Belfast Smith's store called yesterday (the 28th) to say that the October issue would be in on the 27th.....two days ago......(how'd they do that ?)
nice thing might be that both the Oct. and Nov. issues might be there together.......hopefully in the not too distant future......LOL

Apparently there were some shipping problems with the October issue. The vessel carrying the copies bypassed the UK and went straight to Holland instead. They had to place the copies on a vessel back to the UK. According to our UK distributor, the issue should be available on the newsstands today, Sept. 28.

As for WH Smith, it is true that they are reviewing their mix of magazines, but FineScale is not in danger of being cut from the chain.

Last thing I heard was that Smiths were cutting back on the magazines that they stock, and that hobby mags were taking the biggest hit.

I always buy mine from my LHS, but they didn't have it last week.

.....i've been to W.H.Smith's every day since the 17th (supposed UK release date) & as of yesterday p.m........"it's late".....is all i get....."may we call when it arrives ?".........& it looks like the November issue being released soon......
who knows where October is............though i'm on Smith's list to be called......
