Calling Filipino modelers: Where do you get Future Floor Polish?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, September 27, 2004 10:58 PM
Hi kababayans,

Swanny's Future article says Future's equivalent in the Philippines is "Johnson's Wipe & Shine". However, the Wipe & Shine we have is available in Natural (white color) and Red variants only. I have yet to find the Clear version. Thus, no choice but to look for the real thing itself. So, my question to those who have gotten the stuff locally is: where did you buy it? I've looked at several PX goods stores already but couldn't find it. I'd appreciate it if you can supply the name of the store(s), address(es), and even phone number(s) for me to call up to inquire. Getting Future from abroad via mail/online order is quite prohibitive for me with all the shipping and tax involved, and so I need to look for it locally. Thanks in advance for any tip you can provide.

Happy modeling,
RK

RK,

I heard from the other Filipino modelers who use it that Wipe and Shine "white" dries clear. Have not used it myself though.

I tried using the Natural color Wipe & Shine on my canopy parts and it give my canopy a glossy, very clear finish. Haven't tried it with decals yet.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll give the W&S Natural a try although I'll still be on the lookout for the clear thing. Sigman, I think if it's great with canopies, it'll be great with decals as well, if it has the same basic formula as Future. Now, it's time to do some canopy-dunking... wish me luck...
