I like to work on several kits at a time as I know that if I have to wait for paint to dry before continuing with a model, I'll just rush things and make a mess of it all. Beleive it has taken le a long time to learn that one!

Currently I've got the following in progress, all 1/72:

Me109 G10 In the paint shop receiving camo.
Ta183 Also in the paintshop receiving camo.
D0217K Having all the raised panel lines rescribed, and PE painted.

Which means by the middle of October I'll be down to one kit, but then I've already decided what to buy to keep me busy!

Currently on the bench: AZ Models 1/72 Mig 17PF

I have a Stug IV, Stuart, Leopard I, and Quad with 25pdr. There are a few more but these are the ones I'm taking seriously. I think one on the bench at a time would be better for me but I just started back to modeling a few years ago so I got alittle bit excited about it and started too many without finishing them.

I usually have at least two or three builds going at any one time. One is always my main focus of attention, while number 2 gets done while I am waiting paint to cure, parts to dry on number 1. Kit 3 is usually the next hot thing in the to build list that I just have to do somthing on now.

Cheers

I have a Marder III that needs cammo, A Panzer III that is close to being done, but I'm focusing my attention to my Sturmtiger for the Group Build. The build ends in 2 1/2 weeks. After that I will focus all attention to my Marder. I also have 2 M-1's to finish up.

No more than two. Generally one ship and one aircraft.

I can barely find enough time to work solidly on ONE kit, not to mention any more than that. Plus, even if I had time, I don't think I would, as I find it hard to work on something new knowing I started something that is not done.

Just one. I had 2 going only because I started to hate my stug. Then I picked it back up and finished it. Now it's just a schwimmy. But I still open up boxes and detail sets and plan and research and play around like a little kid with a few models in my stash.

Right now, due to a fluke, I have 4 going.. usually I don't like to have more than 2 lined up at a time.. I do them in stages... start one, get to the painting stage were there are long gaps in between then I'll start another at that time...

what happened with me having 4 right now is I started a Corsair for the Naval Av GB and decided to go with an Ares cockpit so had to wait for it... so I started my OS2U for the old guns GB and got to the painting stage and had to let it dry, so since the cockpit wasn't in yet, I started an AV-8B Harrier I picked up recently.. then the cockpit came in so those 2 went to the side.. but along with the cockpit came my HH-65 I am building for my dad (this is round 2, Laquer did a number on my last one) so I started it while the cockpit was drying... so far I am managing it but might cut out on the Harrier because the other 3 are more important to finish... the harrier can wait..

....for what i hope would be obvious reasons.....i sorta branched over from strictly WW II military aviation.....into a Marvel comic book figure.......a conversion / kitbash (seems like a life long project) helicopter.........an nmf NWO DC-10-30 (old livery) & some 1/35 figures.........
but, i really really do like to build only one at a time........the other half of me doesn't, i guess........Confused [%-)]

No more than 2 or three, and I never actually START them at the same time. What generally happnes is when one project gets to the painting stage, where I feel compelled to let things sit and cure for 48 hours or more before adding another coat or color, I'll start doing the preliminary building of another, just because I'll still have the itch and don't want to wait 2 days before doing more modelling!!

I tried having multiple kits, like 3 or so, going at a time, but none of them got finished, I'd just lose interest . So, now I'm back to one kit at a time. And I don't worry about progress. I get a little done here and there, and just enjoy the process as it goes.
