Thanks everyone. Now I can get started on my project. It is still in the planing stage, but the pictures will help. Again, thanks to all.

Found this today. It has lots of engine pics, some on carts. Don't know if they are the ones you are looking for.

Thanks Wayne. The picture is the 1,000 transport dolly. It will give me a head start in building what I need.

The 1,000 dolly was used to transport aircraft jet engines to and from the engine shop. The 3,000 dolly was used to remove the engine from the aircraft. It had several hydraulic jacks that would allow adjustment of the rails for any hight needed. Once the engine was removed from the aircraft, it would be transfered from the 3,000 dolly to the 1,000 dolly. Both could carry standard turbo jet engines as well as most modern turbo fan jet engines as used in fighter aircraft. It is used by the USAF as well as the Navy and Marines.

I'm not familiar with the nomenclature. What kind of engines and a/c are they for?

Engine dollys

I am looking for detailed reference pictures of engine dollys. I need the transport dolly, which I think was refered to as the 1,000 dolly and engine removal dolly, which I think was called the 3,000 dolly. All of my research has drawn a blank.

Any one know of a link or have pictures of the above mentioned equipment?
