i am required to order online for my hobby kits and supplies. i have been using squadron and i am happy with their service. now the question. i would like to find a couple of sites that 1) accept money orders as payments, and, 2) are reliable. any suggestions?

i know this question has been asked a few times but i didnt want to travel through the many pages of the forums to find them.

I've used Great Models - www.greatmodels.com. Check their web site about payment options.

I think you will find that most of the reputable on line shops will accept Postal Money Orders as in theory they are backed by the goverment. Back when the wife and I refused to use credit cards, that's all I ever used and never had any problems (other than the postal service losing the occasional letter).

As far as an site on line, I am currently using www.rollmodels.com and so far have been pleased with their service

I too am stuck in BFE and there's no LHS. So.. I order from the following:

http://www.greatmodels.com/
http://www.hometown-hobbies.com/
http://www.modelpoint.us/
http://www.rjproducts.com/
http://spruebrothers.zoovy.com/c=bnRT9Nqnrhyn41PAj5qfV0Ty2/category/kitsarmor135orlarger/

Hope this helps. I also buy a lot on Ebay, but alot of times you can buy from one of the above for a new model as opposed to a used one.

No harm ordering online Joe. I do most of my buying online anymore except paint online.

Also, try a place called Hobbyland in Mishiwaka, IN. They have a form you can either submit on line, fax, or mail in. They don't say if they accept money orders but I cannot see why they wouldn't since it's often treated as a check or cash. They also have phone numbers and e-mail links if you have any questions. Their prices are often INCREDIBLE (in the good way) and I've ordered many a kit from them. Never ever had a single problem.

Hope this helps,

Eric

I order from www.missionmodels.com (call on the phone for fast service) or www.modelmecca.com and have never had a problem. Squadron.com is also a good place for business.
