Model Kit (one kit per purchase). Not like the old sales, but better than nothing.

Enjoy your modeling...

There may be a difference of opinion on the interpretation of "any kit".

It doesn't say "one" or "limited to one" so...

I don't remember how the last coupon was worded.

Anyone here have an old one to compare?

You could always hop across the border and check out the nearest Hobby Lobby. Wink [;)]

I already printed mine out this morning and I was going to have my brother get one too, even though he doesn't do models.

Actually, the old HL sales on plastic models did not require a coupon...they were a blanket 50% off on any number of kits you wanted to buy. They were advertised in the newspaper flier, not with a coupon.

See my post, "Hobby Lobby Rumor" for more information.

Enjoy your modeling...

They do both a coupon sale and a flyer sale. My local Hobby Lobby never limited my purchase on the coupon or flyer sale. You can have both the coupon and flyer sent to your email weekly.

This is true. I have bought a number of kits with the print out coupon AND when they have the sale listed on the sales flyer.

I have bought a few kits using one coupon and never had a problem at checkout. On the other hand, print out few coupons if you are concerned.

I've never had any problem filling a cart and still getting 50% off all my kits. Having said that I still print off a dozen or so extras. You can really make somebodies day by handing them a coupon. Who doesn't like to save 50% on a purchase and your promoting the hobby!

Bad news for those in the Florida Panhandle and LA (Lower Alabama). I drove by this morning and the Pensacola Hobby Lobby is still shut down from hurricane Ivan. I guess we'll just have to wait around for the next sale.

Enjoy your modeling...

Wait a sec.... I looked at the HL advert in Sunday's paper (like I do every Sunday). Didn't see any 50% sale on models. Went to the HL website... Same flier as was in my paper. No models on sale..... What gives?

It's not in the flier. Use the Internet coupon (see link above) for 50% off.

Enjoy your modeling...

And please not that it says "50% model kits" plural! There's an "s" at the end! :) Let's go get 'em!

Well, I picked up the Tamiya King Tiger for about 25 bucks. Not bad. Place was picked over by the time I go there around 5 yesterday.

Much love to Mr. Farrow for the tip on the coupon. I went out this morning and bought the Academy/MRC MH-60 for $25. Ironically, the lady at the counter initially rang it up as $19.99 instead of $49.99 and was about to sell it to me for ten bucks. In a fit of good conscience I corrected her. I may have irked a fellow collector though, as someone had buried the kit behind a stack of Apaches. I really wanted that model. My apologies if this was you.
