Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 8:35 PM
gonna be in Calgary on the weekend, Just wondering if theres a good one stop hobby store there to go to, as I dont want to spend the whole weekend dragging my gf around to every corner of the city looking for the best store. Basically if theres a shop that has lots of armor and aircraft, thats the one I want!
Thanks for any info!

The only one I've been to in Calgary is Called PMS hobbies, I beleive its in the 2000 block of 32nd Ave NE near Sundridge. Its fairly big and carrys a good selection. I would definatly check it out. While your there the air museum if just down the road heading west. It's small but has a few good kites in it.

well I'm back from the weekend, had a great time, stayed in a fancy hotel, nice dinners and all that, and managed to hit a few hobby shops too. went to chinook first, just happened to be driving to the hotel and there it was. also PM, which was pretty good too. You guys really have some great resources down there, in terms of am stuff and oop models. one place that had tons of brass for armor and airplanes that noone mentioned was called phoenix comics, and lots of good kits cheap. also uncle bills, although not quite as cheap...
also went to the Museum of the Regiments, which was really a great meseum, if youve never been there, highly reccomended. oh, and we also went to the reynolds museum on the way down heheheh... although the girlfriend did drag me to more than one antique store so it wasnt all one sided!
anyway, thanks again for your advice, cant wait to get down there again!

Hi Matt, just curious, which place had the most oop stuff? What about aftermarket decal selection? The stores that are here (Edmonton) are pretty sparse with that kind of stuff....
BTW I've been to modelland before and the place is huge!
thanks
