Posted by rebelreenactor on Thursday, November 11, 2004 4:32 PM
Well, today with no school i was on greatmodels searching for all the stuff i wanted and writing it down. then i looked at how many things i had. I had 50 models and figs, this doesnt include the AM stuff![:0]

Until now I didnt realize how much stuff i wanted to build! And as long as there are new releases I will never finsih the list!Black Eye [B)]

The model section is only one portion of my Christmas list, and I feel i will only get about 6 of these kitsSad [:(] probably will get lots of other stuff.

So do you guys have a long list of wants???Question [?]

Not really, the bench is booked for some time to come and not much new interesting stuff is coming out.

Might add the Gunze photo shooting setup to the list though. Big Smile [:D]

2 spots that attach to the frame
Tripod with a camera.

I'll probably have two kits in my list. That's enough to keep me busy for the first 2 months of 2005.

Any 1/350 ship model except Tamiya, Revell's 1/72nd U boat and the covette (Snowberry) with the full p/e and aftermarket sets. Actually I'll settle for a couple of shirts and socks so I can spend up on models during the year!!

I'm getting my 2 front teeth, so I can wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I doubt any one will buy me models, since I haven't built the ones from previous years yet.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

I have a pretty hard and fast policy about not putting certain things on my Christmas list. Models are one and electronics/tools are the other. I'm very snobbish about a small handful of things and try to avoid the all around embarrasment of having them get the wrong thing or a cheap substitute. I've gotten good models as gifts, but I don't trust people to do it right every time.

Anymore, I just ask for the money if there are kits I want to get, that avoids mistakes in scale, version, manufacturer, etc that could arise. I'm set right now for kits, so I don't see any making the list this holiday season. I think I'm going to ask for a wall mount for my NCO sword and a case for my unit coins instead this time around.

theres somesort of german halftrack with an AT gun (anybody got any ideas??)
a panther 2 (NEbody know if a hypothetical one with IR around somewhere??)
that micro tool on WW2modelmakers, with a drill set and grinders,
maybe some stuff to build an M5 AT gun
nirvana CD
maybe a scroll saw, or drill press or something.
new clothes--(not supplementary for models or other stuff)

thats all i can think of right now. im gonna try to get myself an AB and compressor soon. ill half ta think more....

Dragon and AFV both make one it is the 251/22.

Dragon makes a Panther 2 also, and it was in the developmental stages, but never saw combat.

We kind of have an unwritten policy in our house! If you want it and we can afford it then get it. Thats kind of how we do the Christmas thing. No little people at home anymore so we just have each other. She gets what she wants, and I try to get what I want. It works out OK. Semper Fi, mike

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that one...

My Christmas list will be short. We're not into the whole "spend money to show me you care about me" thing. I just want time with those I care about.
That, and my stash is healty enough for me. Not too much comming out. Only the Dragon Sd.Kfz.251 3-in-1

me and the wife have a similar policy, if you like it get it if we can afford it... no matter what time of year! So by time Xmas rolls around all the big things are bought.. Christmas morning usually consists of 'knick-knack' type presents... little reminders we care about the other...

Tom & Mike: Yes you get to that stage in marriage where you don't need things to show you love each other. You just want to spend time together. Something that is in short supply at our home with three active kids. However, if there is something we want we usually buy it and put it in the closet so that we have something to open Christmas day in front of the kids. As I am just getting back into modeling, kits are still high on my priotity list and there is a Hasegawa 1/72 He 111H that I bought for the Battle of Britain GB sitting in my closet as I type.

Rebel, I did the same thing recently with a list of kits I would like and it was scarey. I already have enough kits now to last into next summer so I'm not in any hurry to get them but a 1/32 Has Me 109 is on the top of that list.

great Dave! all we have are two dogs and they get spoiled no matter what time of year... I have that same Hasegawa kit waiting on me...not doing it for the BOB GB though, just for fun... looks like a GREAT build though! decent interior detail!

yeah me and my wife dont want for much, but then again we don't have high wants on our list... she was just as pleased with warm socks (she's ALWAYS cold) and some karate stuff last yr as if I had bought her a diamond ring! But yeah.,.. we always have stuff to open on Xmas! gotta make it special

Mike, Tom & Dave I am with you on this score, we live by the same basic rule if you really want it, then go and get it. By the time Xmas or birthdays roll around I usually have all the kits, tools and paints that I need.
I have two little girls and if they want to give dad something for a present, I usually just grab a couple of kits from the stash and get my wife to give them to the girls to wrap up.
