Here is my new work bench, I was told to move out to the shop and this is what I ended up with. I have to say I have more room but it is going to be cold out there this winter.Big Smile [:D]

I have two of them, I think that will do the trick but in the summer It gets to be about 105 here and I dont think my window unit will get me below 98.LOL

looks nice, a trade off considering tempurature... but I'd love all that room... I'm stuck modelling on a computer desk and it's ok but that space you got there would be mighty fine!

Its not that bad Reg, This get everything out of the way of my two co-builders. They are 2 & 1 and they like to make my a/c fly off the desk and simulate crash landings. So in the end the powers that be had a good idea of moving me outside

Looks like a real nice work area. Just don't do any woodworking with a freshly painted model on the bench Smile [:)].

Nice looking set up! I had thought about getting my old modeling desk out of storage and putting it in my wood shop but all that fine saw dust scared me away from it. I do go out there quite a bit to use my bandsaw to cut out styrene parts. Do you ever use yours for that purpose?

Nice setup Thad. I'm envious. Lot's of room, excellent. I'm going to be revamping my hobby room soon and I'm kind of excited, but it won't look anywhere as nice as yours.

It has taken me about 3 months to build the shop and get everything in its place. This is the first weekend I have really use it to build a/c and I have to say I will go to bed tonight with a grin on my face.

Way more room than I got. All I get is a corner PC-Desk and 2 shelfs for storing building materials, Both compressors sit on one side under the bench.. (Kits got their own storage).

Since yesterday I got added competition, our newly arrived kitten(2-month, she was abandoned and nurtured back to health by an old Lady before we got her) claimed the work-area in front of my spray-booth as a good place to lie and observe her new suroundings. So far she has broken NOTHING and knocked of nothing.

cool beans Thad!!Thumbs Up [tup] hey, i have a cabinet shop that my brother and i share and it has no heater, but last winter i built a set of cabinets in there and i bought a propane heater that heated a 40 by 30 room in about 2 hours to a nice, cozy temp. a good investment if you're gonna be modelling in there during some low temps. the heater just screwed onto a propane bottle that you see for grills and such, and it looked simular to a headlight on an automobile, but it worked great. later.

Hey Chris, I have on of those heaters but I was afraid it would burn all the air out of there and they would find me passed out on the bench with a airbrush in my hand. Oh by the way Saltydog there is a lock on the door so dont even think about sneaking over and borrowing my kits.
