Little me on TV !!!!!!!!!! Warsaw Uprising dio.
Posted by lolok on Saturday, November 20, 2004 1:21 PM
Hi Guys,
Feeling very smug and big-headed right now.Just half an hour ago I was watching the warsaw News and there behind the presenters head on the item lead-in was my Warsaw Uprising Diorama.
The annual show at the Palace of culture opened today with the theme this year of the Uprising. I made the AFV Club Ausf D with Esci figures and Verlinden details. I duplicated a photo of a captured one with 2 Polish fighters in the back holding a huge Polish flag while driving through the streets.
Maybe they chose to focus on mine as I was the only Brit at the show but to see your own work on TV is one hell of a buzz.
My Fiance, who usually tuts very loudly when i come home with another kit was shouting and applauding and when on to phone everybody we know to watch when the bulletin is repeated later tonight, with Video of course.
OK..back to earth though I am available for autographs.Big Smile [:D]

Congrats, man! It's always neat to see anything about ourselves on TV. I remember feeling the same way about high school basketball highlights back in the late 70's (dating myself here).

Well done!

The show opened to the public today and again was on the news! They showed my dio again plus my Phoenix models(now defunct) dio of Dick Turpin holding up a Brougham with bewigged gentleman and lady in Epping Forest.I used a Italeri church wall as a backdrop and a back panel painted black with clouds and full moon peeping out. I will try and post pics. They did mention that show was now attracting modellers from the UK (only one) So I think I was just the novelty slot.???
