Advise needed!

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice on this. Ebay would seen the most likely, and probably the most fruitful place. Not too many people I know are willing to buy built kits.

only other place than ebay I know of is yahoo auctions... same set up as ebay... unless you set up a little online store to do it... could even do build to order stuff that way...

Some of the local hobby shops here in Osaka let people display builds they want to sell in their display cases. Nice little price tags placed right next to the models.

Anybody want a 1/15 scale Mk IV "Male" WWI tank for $1,000? There's one down at the LHS!

Thanks, for all the feeback. Might consider either doing yahoo auctions or setting up a small section on my upcoming website where I would sell the kits.

J-Hulk, yeah, I have seen many Hobby stores in Japan selling finished kits and some guys sell for some big bucks. Said that I have seen figure kits entered into competitions where you could still see the part-joint mid-thigh or similar.

IME, there is quiet a demand for build kits in certain genres like anime figures, robots, ships, cars & bikes. Not much demand for build planes and tanks though.

As for working on commission, no thanks, not my game. I build for the fun and joy of it, even doing my two contest entries per year are stress-ful..

Here is my take on it, Consignments!! take the sci-fi space and Motorcycles stuff to a store that deals with fantasy games hotwheels cars and collectables. Bike models also might move in Motorcycle dealerships. Planes, try the local small airports for their gift shops or FBO(fixed base operator(repair shop) Local air museum? Military bases with PX/BX facilities.

The only thing about Yahoo auctions is that there does not seem to be a high amount of traffic for models. I was recently advised by the supreme commander here that I had to deploy some of my built ones else where soI put a few up on Ebay. All of them sold and of coarse I used the cash to get more modeling stuff. Yea she only thought she had a good idea.

Why don't you try in your community fair. Its worth a shot. my two cents
