I would say I'm an above average builder on airliners. I'm building my first P-51 right now, and I'd like to see if I can transfer my talents to the Military airplanes.
My strong point I have is patience. That is the most critical one I need. If you have patience, you will build a very impressive model.
For example, I spent 3 months perfecting a paint job on just the fuselage of a Delta 777.
I like how I can make Alclad look like "real" metals or aluminums.
I think I have perfected the polished paint job with no orange peal.
Right now the P-51 has my thumbs tied in some areas. It's going to be a learning experience.
When building a model, I keep notes on how I welded something, or prepared it before painting. Just so when I build a simuliar model, I know what short cuts to take or how to avoid problems.
Never quit learning.
