This year, I actually got several new kits for the first time in more than a decade. Amazingly enough, these came from a friend of mine at church, who drove me to my LHS and waited while I picked out three kits:

1/72 scale Dragon Leopard 2A6
Two versions of the Dragon 1/72 scale Panzer Jager.

Aside from that, my sister gave me two reference books that she was able to get from her Thrift Shop that she works for. I also got a Laser Level for my construction work, and a framed photo of my Old Man and his second wife. My brothers-in-law gave us grocery store gift cards, cash, (All of which went to the wife; God forbid it be used to support my Hobby!) and from her nieces, I got a Barbeque sauce set and a photo album/stationary set that came in fancy box for holding photos. Not bad little things. Maybe I'll use the box for holding all my photos of m models. I already have some pork ribs to use the BBQ sauce on! Chef [C=:-)]

Man! The only one who supports my Hobby isn't even Family! *Shakes head* Disapprove [V]Sad [:(]

A compressor to go wih my new Paasche H airbrush, a cordless dremel with all sorts of accessories, 25pds w/ quad, flakvierling, hanomag and grief. The one that put a lump in my throat was from my step-son the Navy JAG...a sweat shirt that said "Navy DAD"

But the biggest present came from the INS when I FINALLY (after 36 months of fighting the bureaucrats) got my green card.

As far as models go, all I got was a GC to Hobby Lobby.

Other high points include:
Yogurt covered pretzels (one of my food vices)
the Rush in Rio DVD
A magazine rack for my FSM's (really more for my wife I guess)
Season 1 of Alias

on the down side:
2 copies of the Phantom Menace (as if one wasn't almost too many)
my favorite headache/current project: 1/48 Panda F-35 "I love the fact that dumb people don't know who they are. I hope I'm not one of them" -Scott Adams

From my wonderful family who whole-heartedly support my addiction, I got an Alpha Models F4U Corsair electric RC plane and the 5 DVD box set of the Matrix movies. Oh, plus the obligatory sweaters and ties. Up here in WI those sweaters are going to come in handy! LOL!

I got a house!!
Well, the one my wife wanted, anyway.
But it's got a study (for me and my models!!) and a sewing room (for her!) and a two car garage!! Woohoo!
Had Christmas dinner for all the family at our place this year - great fun.

Cheers, LeeTree

I did pretty good this year. I got a couple PL Enterprise kits, a flexi-shaft tool with hanger, a cordless Dremel, and the third season of the original Star Trek boxed set.

Im gettin ready to head back to the land of the big PX next month, so I just asked for some of Mom's Christmas cookies this year. She came through with a big ole tin of them. She must have been baking for days. Some times its just the simple things in life!

I got to be with my family.

Both my Sons and their wives announced that they are giving me more grandchildren next summer, one in June, one in July, numbers 2 & 3.

As far as gifts go I got a lot of clothes. I’ve lost over 60 pounds this year and needed them. I may be a Grandpa but I'm a jeans, t-shirt, sweatshirt kind of guy. I have enough models to last many years.

Happy for all of you that added to your stashes and wish you all a Happy New Year!

nice addition to your stash John! some nice kits indeed! I went Fri and picked up a few kits for the Latin American group build and some paints I have been needing... the big present hasn't been ordered yet, there's been too much going on. The wife wants me to get something big so thinking about a gravity feed airbrush, maybe a Iwata HP-CS, maybe not...

As it is I already have about 21 kits in line to be built so I told her other kits for this GB and decals for them I really didnt want anymore plastic for now!

Understandable on the first two things Tim... been there a time or two, either low on cash or when my ex wife was around... but at least you have your third one to feel good about!

Merry Xmas to everyone! I need to go sleep off the tryptophan from the Turkey I had!

Nothing in the way of models or modeling materials.

Reasons:
1) Money is tighter this year than in past years,
2) Wife refuses to support my addiction,
3) I've already got enough to keep me busy for a "couple of years".
