that's a pain... However, normally on the same week end is a great show in Antwerp, Belgium, so I may be crossing the Channel this time!

"I understand that the Southern Expo Model Show in Hornchurch Essex U.K. has been cancelled this year. The show was going to be held during March and is probably the next best show after the nationals in Telford. Lets hope that this is just for this year"

It fills a sports hall; dozens of traders and club stands. The competition is in another set of rooms but it's (the compet) not as popular as it used to be in the early '90s.

Haven't attended a model show in years, but if I go it will have to be on the Saturday due to rugby commitments on the Sunday.

How big is this show?

Me too I always do the sunday show , KJ200 , I only live about 15 minutes from there , but I'm not sure which weekend as yet , but its a great show

Haven't heard anything for this year yet. Usually advertised in SAM around now or early February though so we should know soon. But if it's on, I'll be going. Probably only on Sunday though.
