Sounds like you got some good stuff while you were here. Since your mini-review of the Powered Suit, I've been quite interested in getting one, but have yet to come across one yet. Just not going to the right shops, I guess!

HLJ just started lsiting the kit as "Just in" so it appears that I might have gotten the inital release which is often limited.

Speaking of shops, what's the state of the hobby in Shanghai? Good shops? Good prices?

There are a few shops, prices are decent. Most of the stuff I get I order directly from the makers due to my interests, supplies and others I tend to get from HLJ.
Being in Shanghai means lots of work for me as it is my current base of Operation from which I get to go on trips to other countries.

Wanted to come down but than caught the flu.

Good luck fixing the parts (I know, I know, it ain't luck: it's SKILL!).
What all did you get while you were here?

Not that much in kits, mostly stocked up on supplies like paints, putties, Books, etc.
Kits:
3x Wave 1/12 Powered Armor
1x Wave 1/24 Krauser Domani(giving me a total of 2 kits)
1x Volks 1/8 Scopedog Resin Kit + Upgrade kit(made to order)
Picked up a few second-hand anime resin figure Kits at Mandarake and Yellow Submarine as well as a few older SF items.

Most of the vac-formed parts seem to be easy to duplicate so I will make new masters of the existing parts and go from there.

They did it to me again?

Arrived early this morning in Shanghai and looked over the parcels that arrived while I was in Japan.

Found 2 kits that had badly done vac-formed parts.
Now I got the option to send to the makers and order new parts and possible pay for them. Naah.

Later on today I will pull out the vac-from box and the trusty vacuum cleaner and redo those parts plus make a few spare parts for a few other kits that I got in the stash.

After that I will cut my own circle templates for a few upcoming builds.
