Someone on the FSM forum a while back said "You'll never die as long as you have kits to build." Sure hope it's true 'cause that's been my motto ever since.

I have a stash that will last me a couple of years to be sure, but I'm certain that at one point I'll finish it all. I only get things I'm interested in building, so to go back on that would not make me very happy.

If I stay healthy, keep building and live another 70-80 years I should be able to knock them out and I don’t even have that big of a stash.

Only 15 unbuilts in my stock. I still enforce a model-buying freeze. I really want to get the Polar Lights 1701 and Klingon Battlecruiser, so will have to build some before I buy those.

I started collecting kits in case I would get bored after an early retirement,
things changed, no early retirement, so I hope to live until 100 Smile [:)]

I plan to finish all the kits in my stock (only about 7), as I have only bought kits so far that I am very interested in building. I have begun to figure in all the costs for paint and tools now when I see kits I have the urge to purchase, and that has slowed me down!

For all of you who have been saying that you will never finish all of your kits, I will be more than happy to take a few off your hands!!Big Smile [:D]Wink [;)]

Well, I'm hopeful!
But not at my current pace of only one or two kits built a year...

I finish a model about once a month and I add from 5 to 10 a month. At the moment I have over 400 kits sitting waiting for their turn to be hacked to death. If I live to about 750 yo I might get them all finished.

i have 3 untouched kits, and 3 in-progress kits under my desk. assuming i keep up the willpower at the LHS, i will finish it all before haloween. but, knowing my willpower, and knowing that every now and then there comes along a really good deal, there will perpetually be boxes underneath my desk.

I have 20 in the stash and I figure if I can get a kit at an excepitional price I will buy it. My current inventory should last at least 5 plus years. I hope to model till I croak, so right now, the stash isn't a problem.

well, i don't really have that many kits - i only got like ~5 kits unbuilt. but considering that i build a max of 3 models a year, i'm not gonna add any more to the collection(at least i'll tryWink [;)]), and hopefully finish the collection before i add more.

I HOPE I'll live long enough to build all my boxed kits........I fully intend to, but the date of my passing ain't up to me.
I DO know that I'm going to give it one heck of a try.
There is one problem......this website. It's too interesting - so much so that I enjoy spending hours wandering through it - talking to others.......which takes time away from my building. Bummer.
Shame on you, FSM.

Cheers, LeeTree

I got a good collection of unbuilt kits and I hope to finish them all someday. But considering the rate that I am going, and the fact that I seem to add two kits for every one that I have started, I don't know. But I have decided to reduce the number in the stash before buying another..at least that is what I told my wife.

I really doubt that I could ever build all the kits in my stash, at least in this life time. Maybe in the next one Smile [:)].

In addition to a large collection of unbuilt kits, I have a huge collection of aftermarket stuff to go with those kits. Will I get them built? Hopefully, Yes. Realistically, probably not.
