reggie,

Diluted white glue would probably work for you but it might take some work to remove it. I sometimes use it to seal around canopies and then use a wet q-tip to rub off the excess. However, this sometimes rubs the paint off if it is very thin (perhaps another way to weather?????)

Yes, I use it with acrylics (Tamiya, Polly Scale and Model Master Acrylics) and haven't had any problems.

I use a product by Daler and Rowney called "Art Masking Fluid" for water colours. This was the first product I bought for masking so I don't know how it compares to others, but it works well for me. I have seen it at most art supply stores. HTH.
