POLL: Feb 2003 Reader Gallery (online)
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 1:32 AM
Hope no one minds...

Thought this would be a fun one to do. Big Smile [:D]

Looking through the reader gallery images for the February 2003 issue on the site - which one of the following is your favorite?
(should it be favorites or best of the bunch?)

1. F4U-1 Corsair

2. 101st Airborne figure

3. IDF TCM 20 halftrack

4. S-100 Class German Fast Attack Craft

5. VW New Beetle police car

6. Morgan three-wheeler

7. P2V-7

8. Golden Komotion

9. StuG Ausf F/8

10. F-15B

I managed to include the images here, but you should take the time to visit the issue page and click on the reader gallery images because there's more information in the gallery itself.

This is a tough one, but I'm going with #2.

I really liked #1 and #3 too, but as they say in Highlander, "In the end, there can be only one." Wink [;)]

I like #4, even though I don't do many ships. Torpedoboats and gunboats are kind of neglected, but were very important, especially in the English Channel, Adriatic, and Solomon Islands campaigns.

It's a tough call, but I can't resist the Morgan Three Wheeler.

I've seen real Morgan Three Wheelers and they are quite something else to say the least.

I would put Golden Komotion a close second in this one.

All of these are impressive pieces of work, but I think that I would have to vote for #1. I am a big fan of the Corsair, and I like the simple display that was made to accompany the aircraft.

Hmm...so here's where this currently stands. I think this time, we'll go with this being a poll about which is your favorite. Next time (if anyone wants to do this again) we could switch it to best of the bunch or stick with favorites. Smile [:)]

#1 - 3
#2 - 3
#3 - 0
#4 - 1
#5 - 0
#6 - 1
#7 - 0
#8 - 0
#9 - 4
#10 - 0

I'm thinking I'd switch my vote to the Morgan if JChurch would share his story about a girl named Morgan. Smile [:)]

Hey B.R.

Unfortunately it's not you (or I) would like to think, if you look up PMS in the dictionary you'd find her picture, even on good days... nice butt tho!

Your not going to leave it like that are you?

Well here it is, Feb 4th. The tally so far is this:

#3 - 0
#4 - 1
#5 - 0
#6 - 1
#7 - 0
#8 - 0
#9 - 6

Looks like the #9. StuG Ausf F/8 came out tops, followed closely by #1. F4U-1 Corsair. Smile [:)]

I've got to go with # 7, great paint and unusual subject.

Though, I almost went with # 5, I used to know a girl named Bettle, but that is really a different story.

Well, I am not afraid of going it alone ... they are all nice ... but #10 looks extra nice to me.
