Online Hobby Shops
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 16, 2005 12:33 PM
Hi, does anyone know any realiable/trustworthy online hobby stores that sell plastic model kits and tamiya acrylic flat paints? If you know any Canadian sites that's even better as the shipping charges on sites like eHobbies.com and InternetHobbies.com are $18-$20 (all figures US) + customs fees! Thanks.

There are several Canadian Online shops. I've used http://www.militaryhobbies.com/ several times and have been pleased with their service. Be sure to check out their "Clearance" and "Specials" areas.

if you are looking for resin enhancement parts ever (seats, ehausts etc..) www.ultracast.ca has quite an assortment of the more popular kit items.... no kits or paint, but lots of pretty things to make it look good!

www.militaryhobbies.ca is one great on-line store. They have a impressive collection of models and great and friendly service. I order from them on a regular basis. If you are looking for Aftermarket store, try www.thebarrelstore.com
They have the most A.M parts I ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on.
Ohh and yes, they are both located in Canada.

You wont regret it.
Did I mention they also do C.O.D in Canada, and yes over 50$ = free shipping.
Its hard to spend less than 50$ buying models anyway.
Very reasonable.

I've dealt with www.thebarrelstore.com and they were great. It only took about 5 days to get my stuff from Canada to Oz.

Cheers......Snowy

Yup I agree. They are a great store specializing with just A.M 1/35.
I would recommend to everyone, not just Canadian modelers.
