How long at a time do you build?

I think I would have to say anywhere from 6-8 hours I build at a time.

Even though I voted at 3 - 5 hours, the correct answer (not available) is that my build times will vary dramatically. There are times when I will only sit at the bench for 20 or 30 minutes before taking a break. Other times, I will sit there for 6 hours or more. In general, I rarely sit at the bench longer than 2 hours without at least grabbing something to eat, hitting the head, or just stretching my legs. However, if you disclude short breaks like these, I've spent well over 12 hours at the bench more than once.

1-2 hour spurts. Not long enough.

I average 1-2 at a time but it have spent several hours working on a kit in the winter or in bad weather. Less time is spent building in the summer.

I'd have to say I'm in the 0-2 hour time slot. Although, I have spent many hours working on a model before (but that's not very often). When you first start a model, it's easy to spend hours working on it, but that's because there are so many parts to work on. Right now, I'm kind of at the end stage of a model. Almost every thing is put together and painted. I probably spend about 45min ABing and cleaning up, and then I have to wait for the paint to dry. There's a lot of stop-and-go right now; I do a little bit and then I have to stop to let something cure. Maybe I should start another kit now......Big Smile [:D]

Once I get the little 'Jellos in bed, I can usually get two to two and a half hours in a night. But if I get the chance, I will work as much as I can. Just last Sunday, I spent most of the afternoon working on the MARPAT paint scheme for my A-10. That's pretty unusual, but once I got going, I just didn't want to lose the momentum.

If I have the time (during the hollidays etc.) I like to build 3/5 hours. But since I have started working I am very happy when I build for just an hour.
Building under half an hour just doesn't work for me.

I'm in the 3-5 category. Sometimes longer, rarely shorter. Once I get going, it's hard to stop!
...cuz the "once I get going" part is the most difficult!!

I generally work in 1-2 hour spurts once or twice a week. That makes for a slow model-building process, but I like the results I get. Smile [:)]

I usually go for 45 minutes to an hour and a halfrarely longer. Depends on many factors including background noise, what I'm working on and the weather.

pretty much in the 1-2 hour range. Mostly 1 or 2 days a week and some more on the weekend if I am lucky.

I'm actually more of a two-to-four hour guy, so I checked the 3-5 hours since there was no 2-4 choice. The longest I spent on the bench at any one time was 12 hours. I just lost track of time!
