Time spent ?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, January 24, 2003 1:25 AM
Hi All,
How much time does everyone spend on the computer "bench"?I probably spend too much time checking out
web sites and forums doing research or just browsing. Really
came in handy when I was building the Tamiya Zero.
Let us know your thoughts.

I spend on average an hour a day at the computer. Mostly in this forum and doing research for modeling projects. The internet has made life so much easier for us modelers. For example, the other day I broke an important piece of a model I'm building. I put up a post asking if anyone had one they could part with. The next day I got a reply and the part is currently in the US. mail system as I type. What a great service FSM is providing us with. Thanks to all.

I'm new to the internet and before going on line I had no idea just how many sites there are for model builders.
Thanks to the web and sites like this I am no longer a "lonely kitbasher" !
I now spend at least an hour a day researching projects, sharing ideas and meeting great people who love our hobby. Thanks to them and you on FSM for all your help so far.
Regards,
Darren.

I do spend a bit of time surfing for info relating to current or future projects. I print a lot and store a lot of info, that I might never use, but who knows. This forum, I found it really interesting and I've found myself using it a lot lately, reading advice, comments and if possible offering help.

I'm an 'intermittent' surfer... 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there... I'd say that in all I spend about 1- 1.5 hours on the net per day related to model websites/forums. I do spend some time in other forums as well *GASP*

I spend about 4 to 5 hours a day, most of it doing reports using MS word. As far as the internet, about an hour a day, a few minutes at a time.
