Anybody going to Kalamazoo?
Posted by Lucien Harpress on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 9:03 PM
Anyway, as just a prelim question, who here is planning to go to the Model Contest in Kalamazoo? I ask becuause I plan to be there, and I plan on entering (among other things) my Ju 290Z. I just thought I'd give those people a heads up who'd like to see the real thing. Big Smile [:D]

Just so it doesn't get too lonely here, yes I am.

If you're talking about the show on the 17th of September, then yes, I'll be there...is there another one before then?

Checking my daytimer,

I went last year for the first time. And I have every intention of going this year. I have one of my 2 entries already to go. Not so sure on the second one yet. Also happens to be my 22nd Annaversary, trying to talk the wife into joining me. Won best OOBox in Sci-Fi last year. Shooting for First place this year (in Sci-Fi, of course).

I look forward to meeting Jeff there.

Sounds like fun. I think there's a Hooters a number of fine restaurants nearby.

I'm not sure if I'll be photographing for FSM or not, but either way, it should be fun.

Well, if Fort Wayne is only about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Lansing, then how bad could it be getting to Kalamazoo? I might be able to get out there, depending on my work schedule.

So what's the word. Anyone still going? I know Mike/Lucien had to drop out, but what of the rest of you?

Yep, 'tis unfortunately true. I wasn't there. But I DO plan to be there next year, hopefully with some really good stuff. Here's crossing the fingers!

Yeah it was pretty cool. Seeing Dan Jayne's cutaway F-105 up close was a trip. A lot of other good stuff there too. I know Jeff H. couldn't be there, but did FSM get someone else down there to get photos?
