Do a little digging in the FSM archives - seems to me that back in the late 80s, early 90s there were a several articles on DIY etching.

thanks guys. actually, ive got a solid resin japanese type 94 tank. its a great little kit, but the idler wheels and drive sprockets are very thin and their edges are made out of paper thin resin. naturally this wont hold under the pressure of attaching the sectional resin tracks (springy) and since i dont wanna buy a whole PE set, i asked some guys at my club about it and they said i could get a kit

With a few chemicals and a good graphics software you can make your own. See this link for more info.

ya its Micromark. look pretty complicated by just looking at the picture. But ya if you want it, it will cost a pretty penny. what kit are you wanting it for? The flakpanzer 38?

i think micro mark makes one. I definitely saw an ad for one somewhere. I'll look it up for you. Mind you, it costs 130$ so i won't be getting it any time soon.

has anyone got any information as to where to get a photo-etching kit. not a premade set, but a kit to make your own PE. Ive heard about it and ive got a task that needs it. fairly simple. can anybody help??Question [?]
