Custom GB logos...save space (and bandwidth)!
Posted by knight667 on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 3:27 PM
Hey everybody! So I thought I'd offer my services to people with GB badges in their signature. Basically, if you like, I can create an animatd GIF of all of your GBs that take up very little space (about 166x66 or so). Just send me a message and point me to a thread that you've posted in so I can grab the images and I'll email you the GIF file. Check out my signature to see what I'm talking about:

I'm doing this for free and for fun, so don't hesitate to make a request!

Note: apparently Photbucket doesn't support animated GIF files, so if you're having trouble getting it to display there, send me an email and I can host it on my personal site.

Just sent yours to you...didn't incorporate the AUS flag, figure that needs to stand by itself. Wink [;)]

For those interested, these don't take me but a few minutes to make, so I'm more than happy to do this for anyone. :)

Also, I've customized them so that they blend into the background of the FSM forums.

Enjoy, and keep those request coming!! Big Smile [:D]

I've also posted this in the GB forum, for those who visit there more frequently.

(Thanks to Jeff Herne for stickying this!)

John, what do you use? I use Jasc's Animation shop 3. You can also make GIFs for AIM buddy icons with that software. It's a lot of fun, I agree!

Ok, I'll bite, what's a GB  logo?

Why isn't phonics spelled like it sounds?

Group Build.  When you participate in a group build, you are awarded a badge.  This heralds your achievement in the FSM community, and shows that you have a bond of sorts with others on the forum.  I have complete 0 GBs because I am rather new to the forum and lack the motivation to meet a deadline on a build.  The last model I actually finished was some time ago, yet I start a new one about every month.Smile [:)]

Knight, I'll PM you with my badges, as I'm filled up on signature spaces. Thanks in advance.
