Thoughts on stretched sprue

Stretching sprue when the piece is too short and you don't realize it until your fingers start to crisp - Bad. [:0]

Stretched sprue that curls up into something resembling a pig's tail because you let it go too soon - Frustrating. Banged Head [banghead]

Stretched spure that breaks and falls into your lap - and you are wearing shorts - Really, Really Bad. Evil [}:)] Censored [censored]

No matter what the diameter of the sprue you're stretching-the end result is always the same.

Also, pulling away from the flame too soon and ending up with half an inch of stretch.

Or, having the sprue catch on fire!

I haven't used stretched sprue in years...I've switched to guitar string for AFV radio masts and antennae and fine fishing line for aircraft antennae. Sprue was just too frustrating for me. Disapprove [V]
