Modeling blogs?
Posted by knight667 on Friday, September 30, 2005 10:46 AM
Does anyone else besides me have a modeling blog? I use mine for myself, mostly, to keep track of what I've been working on, but also to share with friends and family (and you guys/gals...it's in my signature, after all! Big Smile [:D]).

Anyway, I was just curious if anyone else had one.

Blogs suit modelling really well if you can post enough pictures of your works in progress. With enough decent pictures and commentary on what you do at each stage, there's no end to the interesting content available for a blog when it comes to modelling. Actual progress on kits is needed though, as too long without an update will kill a blog.

I just got a digital camera and am planning on starting a blog for my next kit. We'll see if I do though.

I recorded my last build in blog format in MS Word... I'm still leary about having a blog that's open to anybody on the internet (regardless of subject matter), but it was nice to have a place to organize and document what had been and should be done.

I have a web site instead of a blog, lets me be more flexible on how to organize my topoics.

I started a modelling blog earlier this year- http://www.spinneyhead.co.uk/Scale/. I've not been doing much building recently, but keep putting news and reference photos on it when I find them. I have a few projects lined up to blog progress on, if I could just find somewhere to set up my modelling table.
