My new Badger arrived today!

Haven't you heard. It's not the size of your cup, it's how you use it. (But it doesn't hurt to have a BIG cup!) ;)

Man! That is one BIG cup on that sucker!!!

The trigger and the peice behind it (looks like it functionas as some sort of lock/latch to keep the trigger held back) already fell out the first time I was "exploring" the dissasembly. Got it back together without any problems though. Thanks!

Congratulations on the Badger. I've had my 100LG for a few months now & like it a lot. The needle slides out from the rear as you've probably figured out. Just be careful to keep the trigger pointing up, as it can/will fall out otherwise once the needle is removed.

I used a rapid-o-graph pen for some of the recessed panel lines and a graphite drafting pencil for some of the raised panel lines. Those panels lines on the fuse are actually raised, the rest (on the wings) are recessed.

On the Badger - I orderd both the medium and fine heads. They are interchangeable.

You think the fine head is going to cause me grief with acrylics?

It's a good brush, you'll enjoy it. I have one and it does a great job.

The disassembly and assembly is pretty straightforward. If you got it apart and back together you don't really need the instructions. A word of advise though: Leave the head loose when not in use. There is a Teflon washer between the head and body and over time that will get flattened and cause the brush to pulsate. Leaving the head loose when it isn't in use will help a lot.

What size did you end up going with? The badger 100LG can be one of 3 different sizes if I recall correctly. I've always been tempted by them but was unsure what size I'd need to keep my acrylics from clogging and yet still be able to outdo my Paasche VL for detail work. Anyone have any idea?

Well, I just called dixieart (I ordered it from them) and they told me the same thing. Now I have to call Badger directly.

In any case, being the “curious george” that I am, I already figured how to take most of it apart and back together (without breaking anything, I might add).

There used to be a nice online site, but no more. Email Badger and *ahem* badger them about some instructions. They should mail them for free.
