Screwed up my eyeglasses
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 23, 2005 10:01 AM
Hello.

This kind of have to do with modeling techniques.

I messed up my glasses lens. There are some rough areas which makes seeing a little blurry. Just on the little corner.

Do you think it's possible to sand it back to the original finish? Are there any fine enough abrasive material that'll allow me to make it decently smooth?

Thanks

Gauss are they plastic or glass? There are good polishes availble for plastic (like the 'Final Detail' available at hobby shops) -although I would just go to the place where you got your glasses-they often will remove scratches for free. Glass will be very hard to polish. BTW-welcome to FSM.

There are, but if it's a prescription lens I would have a professional polish them. You could easily mess them up more trying to fix them!

So long folks!

Yeah Future would work. My glasses at the plastic kind (glass would be way too thick.) and I've fixed scratches with a little future watch crystals too.
