I am about to complete my Whole FSM collection and I would like to ask if somebody know exactly how many and which magazines were produced in 1982. As far as I know is as follows:

Spring 82
Summer 82
Fall 82
Winter 82

I would appreciate if you can enlight me in this matter.

I'm fascinated at the thought of a near-complete set of FSM finding its way all the way down to Guatamala. We're talking about 20+ year old magazines that have lasted way longer than any of the books I worked on at my previous employer!

Anyway, here's the break down of the early issues, straight from the bright red bound 1982-84 volume in my office:

Spring 1982 - "test" issue released in January to see if there was a market for such a magazine. There was, so....
Fall 1982 was the "charter issue," Vol. 1, No. 1, of the new quarterly magazine, followed by....
Winter 1982
Spring 1983
Summer 1983
Fall 1983
January/February 1984, at which point FSM became bi-monthly.

I once found the Spring, 1982 issue at a hobby shop for two bucks! Needless to say, I'm holding on to that puppy!

FSM is one of only three rags that I've managed to collect from the very first ish to the last/current. It's also the only full collection that I've managed to acquire chronologically, issue by issue, as it was published. And, of the three collections, it's the only one I still have today.

Now if I could only remember where they all are... Tongue [:P]
