In this day and age of local shops closing down right and left...Hobby Depot has actually EXPANDED!!!!   Another location (nearer to me, reason to rejoice), and more stuff...it's just nice to be able to support a local place !!!

Wish him luck, not the first time he's added a location. Last one was in the west valley and only lasted a couple of years, never had the stock of his main store. I live in NW phoenix and get down there on occasion.

I have visited the shop every time I have made it to Phoenix.  Definitely one of the better shops for models and accessories.

The new one is much smaller, and they are busy stocking items, so they don't have as much yet...they seemed really enthusiastic about making it work, so hopefully us east metro modelers will support them!

I first heard about it at the last meeting of IPMS Craig Hewitt. I'm heading down by Kartchner Caverns for a couple of days later in the week; perhaps I'll stop there on the way back, depending on which route I take back home.

By the way, is it north or south of the 60 Freeway?
