                        Here are the 3 figures i am working on now. Any thoughts on them so far. I would say i am about 50% done. Still going to add details and color in things. I will also do some shadowing if i can. Sorry for bad photos - its late hehe. Any thoughts on these figures? One thing i am having trouble with is the skeleton as what shade his bones should be ? i am thinking more dark and greenish. Like the pirates of the carriebean movie. I will also correct all the glossy parts and dull parts as well just waiting till later till i am done.

                        personally for the bones, I'd say use Citadel's Bleached Bone (light tan color) for the base, a light wash with whatever darker brown oil paint, and highlight with Skull White.  I've used them for my warhammer 40K figures and it came out pretty good.  Bones are generally in off-white color.  Is that pirate's cutlass supposed to be so bent up like that?

                        No , it does look pretty bad huh - i dont want to break it trying to bend it some.

                        IMHO, the best option for shading those figs will be inks.

                        First fig looks good but, IMHO, the 2nd and 3rd fig lacks color(too dark).

                        Try to straighten the sword a little bit at a time, too much force and it will snap.
                        Slowly and a little bit at a time "might" work, work it from the hilt outwards and NOT the recerse.

                        I agree - i guess i have built to many weathered models hehe - Anybody use sand paper and rub off paint for shading or will this not look right, the other day i did a little on the bottom of the blue guys coat and i thought it looked kind of interesting. Or would this work better on things that would be metal like sword or sheilds. At least its fun trying new stuff.

                        You can use a hair dryer to heat up the sword blade and then work it into the shape you want. Your figures look good. Many, many years ago I used to collect Citadel figures and had a blast painting them. Yes, I use to play AD&D.
