I'm no expert on the books put out by specialist hobby publishers and organizations, but I'm pretty sure no definitive guide like that exists. If it did, it would be an enormous book. The current Revell Germany catalog, for instance, includes kits that originated with Revell, Italeri, Hasegawa, Matchbox, Aurora, Heller, Frog - and almost certainly some I've missed. Another problem is that the kits show up under different labels in different countries; anybody attempting to put such a list together would have to become an expert on the markets of North America, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. (I'm not aware of any manufacturer labels originating in Africa or the Middle East, but there may well be some.) And any such list that did get published would go out of date between the time it was sent to the printer and the time it hit the dealers' shelves. A couple of days ago I took a look at the "New Releases" section of Scale Aviation Modeller. It must have contained at least a dozen new re-boxing of kits under new manufacturers' labels.
Let the buyer beware - and keep up with the reviews and web forums.
