It's funny, my wife watched disc one with me of the Master Class Model Building DVD, she enjoyed it almost as much as I did, and is now expressing interest in building a kit!  Shock [:O]  Smile [:)]  Now that would be really cool!

OMG, you're not kidding.  The kids are always fascinated with my hobby stuff, especially the clamps, sprue snipper and the other odd bits.  Same thing with my tools, our youngest son has a tendency to "borrow" my screwdrivers and pliers.... then I have to retrieve them days later on the floor in his room.  Shock [:O]  Laugh [(-D]

I got back about 2:30 this morning & had lost my last $3 bucks after I returned to the casinoSad [:(] But, took me most of the afternoon & evening tho!!Approve [^]
I just checked my Star Trek book to see what scale the 3-piece set  was... no luck on it. Just says they're inconsistent scale to one another. (about 1:1000???) The set is of the 1701-B,C & E & I had compared them with the polar Lights 1701 (no bloody A,B,C or D)Evil [}:)] the sizes are a little different tho.  They'll look good hangin' from the ceiling  here in my room tho Thumbs Up [tup]

Have ya solved that A/B problem yet??Big Smile [:D]

I look foreward to my next trip up there. Don't know when that'll be yet Sad [:(] I don't get away much these days since I am taking care of an old friend of the family who is disabled. (she lost a leg 4 yrs. ago) and is basically bedridden this past year. I've been her care giver for the past 3 1/2 yrs. now.
It is a treat for me when I am able to get awayBig Smile [:D] just difficult to find someone "reliable" to fill in for me.
Donna is supportive of my hobby & has made a few purchases for me on her own Approve [^] so, I can't complain Mischief [:-,]
Anyways, I'll try to visit the shop on a Sat the next time I get up there.

I'm glad you had a good trip, and had fun at the casino..... gotta love the cute cocktail waitresses and free drinks.... heh heh

Ya, Tom is off on Sunday and Monday.  I went by there on Saturday, picked up some more paint and got the new AM 1/48 SB2c-4 Helldiver.  Their selection of kits is pretty decent.  I can usually find most of what I'm looking for, and if it's not in stock, Tom will gladly order it.

I know what ya mean Scott. The climate aint too bad there. It's a different kind of heat compared to here in the Central Valley of Calif. (not to mention Alabama's humidityDead [xx(])  I've thought about movin' back to Reno myself lately...

I moved to back in '85 to finish up college at UNR and really had no intention of staying here, but man, this place really grew on me, I love it here!  Reno is a pretty cool town, Tahoe is 45 minutes away, the climate rocks and we have a decent hobby store.  My wife has a sister, but I believe I got the "good" one.  >;)~

I hope you have a good time here, don't blow all your money on the slots, although if you hit a big jackpot, you can go nuts in the hobby store!

That's my LHS!  I go there probably at least once a week now.  They have a nice selection of kits and their prices aren't too bad.  I've been going there for years!  It's funny, I think I spend more money at High Sierra Models now than I do at Best Buy, which is really saying something!  I just picked up the 1/32 Trumpter P-40B (Hawk IIA) for $37, not bad for a brick and mortor store.  The guy who does all their ordering and manages their inventory lived across the street from me before I got married and bought a new house.  So, say hi to Tom when you're there.  He's great about special ordering things too.  My wife surprised me a couple years ago and had him order a bunch of turned aluminum barrels for me for Christmas for a bunch of the tanks in my model stash.

Great store, great wife.  :)
