Mystery Pics

ever notice how on the Great Scale Modeling issues, theres always three or four pics on the upper right hand corner of the mag that dont appear anywhere in the issue at all?  or in any of the previous or subsequent issues?  they're recognized early in the issue, in a box on one of the pages, but they arent shown anywhere else in the book like the other photos.  I'm sorry, but Ive always wondered whats up with those pics?  how come they're shown on the cover, and why aren't they shown anywhere else in the mag?
